Human consciousness can evolve. At the innovative margins of society it is already evolving. A holistic view is taking shape, one that sees the human being as an organic whole, embedded in the socio- and culture-sphere, embedded in turn in the wholeness of the biosphere.

Evolving our consciousness is not something we do only for ourselves – it is something we also do for others… for all others, and for the earth. Because we open up and let our body and mind feel the ties with others and with Nature, we change ourselves, and change others around us.

2014 ~ Lena Jacome

January 10, 2014

Dear Sweet Friends,

Thank you so much for visiting my site and sending such kind and generous comments. I sincerely appreciate your time and energy! 2013 was a good year. I invested more time into this blog site and feel content with it’s evolution.

2013 provided some surprising challenges. When something traumatic happens to us, it’s hard to make sense of it all. For the first time in my life I experienced a complete paradigm shift. I went from feeling victimized, as if the Universe was ‘doing this too me’ from realizing that the Universe was ‘doing this for me’ and presenting an opportunity for me to heal. I felt deeply humbled and loved. I think my blogging (in addition to meditation, prayer, spiritual counseling, nutritional changes, books, journaling and more…) has helped facilitate this shift in my life. I have much gratitude for all my experiences in 2013. I am EXTREMELY excited about 2014. As every year passes, I get to know myself a little more, dig a little deeper and find more strength, courage and peace within. I’m eternally grateful to have the life I have. It is a true gift to be alive!

Story Waters

Freedom is not superior to limitation;
with this realization I am able to choose freedom.

Happiness is not superior to suffering; with this realization I am able to let go of suffering.

Abundance is not superior to poverty;
with this realization my abundance flows.

Nothing is superior to anything;
with this knowing I step out from
hierarchy, competition, and struggle.

In this state I do not judge life;
therefore I do not feel separate from it.

I am so glad of the diversity in the world;
in its reflection I see my own freedom
to be whatever I wish to be.

We are not here to be one;
we are here to be many.

Through seeing that beyond this illusion we are all one, we free ourselves to be the many.

I am not tied to any singular path to be a certain way.

I am diverse.

I am ever changing.

I am an explorer of All As Truth.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,
even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.

And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

“Asking the proper question is the central action of transformation- in fairy tales, in analysis, and in individuation. The key question causes germination of consciousness. The properly shaped question always emanates from an essential curiosity about what stands behind. Questions are the keys that cause the secret doors of the psyche to swing open.”

Marianne Williamson

The spiritual path is not a matter of growing more
metaphysically complicated; it’s a process where we actually grow simpler and simpler, as we apply certain basic principles to everything we go through.
We don’t learn love, which is already etched on our hearts; we do, however, begin to unlearn fear.
And with every change we make from blame to blessing, we pierce the veil of illusion that separates us from the world we want.
