I’ve received so many inquiries and compliments regarding the Flamenco! Coffee Table Book, so I wanted to share with all of you the graphic designer genius that put together some of my ideas and literally created an outstanding work of art which in my humble opinion is unparalleled creativity and design mastery.  I highly recommend Heath Cox of Cox Studios Inc to anyone in need of graphic design or exhibit design work.  I can’t say enough great things about Heath.  He’s a very patient, highly detailed and extremely artistic graphic designer with great integrity. Here’s a brief video clip of my performance with the Chris Burton Jácome Flamenco Ensemble at the Phoenix Art Museum sponsored by the Latin American Art Alliance in November 2011.  This is part of a flamenco dance in the palo of tientos.  The evening included  flamenco dance and music with a fusion of Mariachi music from where, Chris Burton Jácome’s brainchild, ¡FlaMéxico! was born.

What people are saying:

I have taken this Sunday morning to sit and go through your wonderful book.  The quotes are so uplifting and astounding.  As I read the quote from Schweitzer – about when the light goes out and is rekindled by another person I thought of you.  You have given me that spark.  I know I am old and past physical means to spark but I will share your spark in my way as life moves on.

Thank you so much for your art, talent, and this wonderful book.

The Flamenco Night at the Museum performed at the Phoenix Art Museum on November 30, 2011 and sponsored by the Latin American Art Alliance was a HUGE success, an AMAZING concert with The Chris Burton Jácome Flamenco Enemble featuring FlaMéxico with Olga Flores and Sal Gallegos!!!

Below are some incredible images taken by Felipe Ruiz Photography. Thank you to Latino American Art Alliance, Liz HernandezFelipe Ruiz Photography and Chris Burton Jácome.

I love this photo!

Besides being a fantastic flamenco guitarist, Chris Burton Jácome happens to be a talented singer.  I just assume most people know this about him.  Also in the background is another great talent, Sal Gallegos, who sang the introduction to my piece.

The Chris Burton Jácome Flamenco Ensemble had the wonderful gift this year to be the season opener for the GCCCA’s concert season.  It was a magical evening performing at the Western New Mexico University’s Fine Arts Center on October 15, 2011.  Silver City is my hometown and it was wonderful to have so many family and friends attend the concert that evening. In addition, I released my coffee table book, Flamenco! at the concert.  A special evening indeed!

With all the excitement I actually forgot to take photos!  How can this be?  I find myself asking that question now. So here are the few images that were taken during the richly filled adventure to Silver City, New Mexico.

On our way to the venue. Organic Popcorn with Olive Oil.. yum.  Only at Trader Joe’s!

I was riding with my brother when I took a snapshot of the Fine Arts Center.

Leaving Silver City early the next morning.  Here’s an image on the road as we enter into El Paso, Texas.

The Chris Burton Jácome Flamenco Ensemble began their October tour in Pampa, Texas, performing in the M.K. Brown Civic Auditorium.  Though it begins to cool off in Phoenix, Arizona, I found myself quite cold throughout our travels.  Here are some images of our time!
