It is much warmer here in Phoenix but in other parts of the country (and parts of the world) winter is taking place and still in full swing. I had this video done about a month ago when, in my humble opinion, it was very cold. YES, it was cold in Phoenix… that one day…
Here’s an easy recipe that is healthy, warming and grounding for the body to incorporate into your diet. It’s gluten free (I use ezekiel tortillas instead of flour) and use all organic veggies.

Flamenco Duet at the Silco Theater

I’m originally from a small mining town in New Mexico called Silver City. I’ve been teaching over the past 3 days at a local dance studio and have set some work on the students at the Conservatory of Dance. They’ll be performing tonight in the flamenco concert held at the Silco Theater. I’ll be performing with my husband, Chris. It’s been nice to have some time to get more involved with the community during this visit. I’m looking forward to the concert tonight!

I feel really lucky in that I am continually surrounded by really good people. They are all talented and giving; all loving, inspiring and all-around GOOD people. I don’t know if I’ve consciously been aware of this decision, as I believe it is a decision. But, I do know that the quality of the people that I surround myself around are good, uplifting individuals.
I know there are times when conflict arises, maybe there is a relationship where there’s miscommunication or just plainly, the inability to see eye-to-eye or respectful disagreement. I feel a true connection with my immediate sphere of influence and I realize that this is a very important aspect in being happy, healthy and fulfilled in life.
I’m at a place in my life where I value my friendships more and more. I value my mentors, my students, my family and co-workers. As a result, these relationships have inspired me more in my career and in my personal life.
It’s a great place to be.
