Some people say it takes 21 days to create a new habit. I believe it takes much longer. It takes persistence to create change. Some things do come easier than others, but the real hurdles require a whole lot of effort, whether they be physical, emotional or mental challenges. Keep with it. Keep trying. You’re worth the effort. I know I am.

Creativity and Abundance
October 30, 2012
Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love:
As I’ve been more involved in the art community, I have noticed the prevalent attitude of struggle and poverty in the creative process. As an entrepreneur, I don’t understand this thought process. Struggle is not necessary – it’s a choice.
Challenges are everywhere so it’s an adjustment to the mindset and thought process that correlates to the experience of it and the ultimate outcome. If you believe the creative process is filled with struggle and poverty – you’ll find that’s true for you. I choose to believe it’s a stimulating, engaging, soulful process that unfolds with ease and leads to abundance. I’m confident that’s the journey I’ll enjoy and the outcome that will be revealed.
Courage

I encourage you to take a risk. Listen to the voice, the heart beat that guides you to a place of freedom and inspiration. I believe that everything will fall into place and in this journey you’ll find strength and courage.
You’ll liberate others to do the same; to follow their heart and take hold of their divine purpose. I believe in you and the power you hold within.
Sincerely,
Keeping In Balance
October 28, 2012
As a dancer, I understand balance. As a human being, balance requires more of my attention and effort. I suppose this is what makes life exciting, interesting and healing.
“Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralysed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds’ wings.”

Freedom
October 27, 2012
I was born and raised in the US and whenever I travel (which I love to do) I realize just how lucky I am to be an American and to have the freedoms I have. My profession is in the arts and I chose to be a flamenco dancer. I’m very fortunate that I was raised in a home where I could speak my mind and I had the freedom to choose whether or not I wanted to marry. When I did get married, it was my choice. These weren’t freedoms I thought about until adulthood. International travel has broadened my views and helped me to appreciate even more the freedoms I have.

Yes, I’m blessed. I’m in Indonesia right now and grateful that I’ve committed to making this journey. I’m learning…. sharing my craft….. and in complete awe.

I love Dr. Seuss. I loved his books as a child. My favorite character from childhood and to this day is the Grinch.

Flamenco, Not Flamingo!

This happens to me more than you’d think. It’s not flamingo dancing…. Flamenco!

Dream A Little Dream
October 22, 2012
I dream about flying often; flying over different cities around the world. You know that feeling when you are on a roller coaster? Where you feel your stomach drop as the gravity takes you…. As you begin to descend from the peak of the arch? I get that same feeling when I dream of flying.
Though I don’t enjoy or ride roller coasters, dreams of flying are my absolute favorite. I think they symbolize freedom and adventure to me.
Another favorite of mine are dreams of being in or near the ocean. I seem to always feel a sense of peace and tranquility.
Here’s to dreaming!
Sincerely,
